Anne, there was a really nice piece on the NBC coverage yesterday about the Australian fans. They were commenting about how enthusiastic and encouraging they are for all the competitors. They interviewed an Australian lady in the stands at beach volleyball I think during a match between some other country and Australia, and I think it was Bob Trautwig asked her about how they were cheering for both sides and never booed anyone. The lady looked at him like he was insane and said something like, “Booing? We don’t do that kind of thing here. It’s not the Aussie way.”
I may have been thinking of Isabelle’s music for the WEG. I’ll have to look at my tape tonight (sigh). I know that someone had excerpts from Carmina Burana!
