Men's tall boots for size 14/15 foot!!!

Ya’ll were all so great when I was trying to find a saddle for my long legged teenage son, lets see what help can be found in the field boot department.
My son is now wearing a size 13 mens tall boot I got from Smartpak. He wears a size 14 shoe so his toes are beginning to curl in his boots. I have searched everywhere and can not find anyplace that has a size 14 (or I would really just like him to go up to a size 15). Has anyone found boots or paddock boots in this size??? I really hate to go the custom boot route because he is still growing (only 15)! He only stays in a size for about 8 or 9 months at this stage. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Unfortunately, I don’t think any stock boots go up to that size. I did a quick search of my go websites for men’s apparel and it appears that size 13 is it. Even the Dehner stock boots only go that high. Best bet might be e-bay or call Middleburg Tack Exchange and hope there were some big footed hunters who have consigned. Stop feeding him

Thanks SLR! Trying to keep him in clothes and shoes that fit is killing me!! He gets a jacket to compete in, wears it once, and then by the time the next show comes around it no longer fits. I really tried to keep him playing basketball, but noooo, he had to go the horse route! LOL!

I can tell you as of 2 weeks ago the largest size Middleburg Tack Exchange had in men’s was a 10 I think. We were there looking for a 12 or 13. But definately give them a call. Also check with Horse Country, they might have something.

My hubby wears a size 14 shoe (and is also 6’4") and finding riding footwear of any kind was a challenge! We ended up finding “Justin” ropers in a size 14. They are just like paddock boots but we took off the little “fringe” piece that made them look western. I think we found them online. Then he bought Ariat half chaps that fit his calves (weren’t quite tall enough but worked for the time being). When we go to Rolex (or last year to Burghley) I tell him that he should stand in line to get William Fox-Pitt’s autograph and then to ask him wear he buys all his riding clothes!!

Recently, he decided he wanted taller half chaps and got measured for custom half chaps from Dover.

For tall boots, you will probably have to go custom. Dehner boots would be a good place to try. Good luck!

slp2- I had thought about getting a pair of the ropers!!! I even found them in a 15! I think that is the way I will need to go. I was just hoping someone may have found someplace that the “big” tall boots might be available. Thanks!!

I would recommend that you start looking to european tack stores. Not the UK as …like the US… most of the men that ride are not ever so tall. I would venture to guess that those from Germany, Holland, and the Nordic countries would have larger size foot ware. They boys there grow large.
