I hear the former Meredith Manor is for sale ! https://www.facebook.com/100027194902695/posts/pfbid02WvTZ7Mk9BTt7Mo7MvgiCHzQGyDYJBznD7Wd6mf6DPBs5pD3oUGhGR7Ec6d4TrGWcl/
I was just asking a somewhat recent graduate what was happening to the property! I see the shipping container rooms are being conveyed (apparently they get moldy)
Weird, I can’t find a single online listing outside of social media, no MLS? And this listing shows three (not great) pictures. Hard to take it seriously when there is no advertising elsewhere + min $900k down + three crappy dark pictures.
The school Web site just states it is closing down, nothing more.
I have no idea for real estate. I guess time will tell.
IIRC, there was a long ago discussion on this BB & concensus was the curriculum as well as the physical property had gone downhill.
No MLS maybe means this is a Fire Sale by current owners?
The $900K could be a drop in the bucket toward making it workable as a horse property.
Not knowing RE values in the area, could also be a future subdivision.
ETA:
Search found several old threads, none complimentary
The MM alumn I was talking to said that the wife seems to have sold off the planes and luxury cars and is travelling a lot now that her husband passed last? year. I bet she wants to be rid of the property since it’s probably even more of a money pit in taxes sitting empty since upkeep was already going downhill before the school closed.

What Meredith Manor posted about closing its doors:
“Meredith Manor International Equestrian Centre announces it will be closing at the end of this quarter, June 4, 2021. Meredith Manor regrets that it is no longer able to continue its operations due to declining enrollments and lack of funding. While Meredith Manor administrators have pursued possible ways to keep the program open, time on these efforts has run out due to lack of funds.
Meredith Manor will make arrangements for maintaining academic records and making them available to students upon request. Meredith Manor is also cooperating with its regulators to provide information relating to the closure of the institution.
Meredith Manor has operated since 1963 with thousands of graduates who have pursued careers in the equine industry, and the ownership and administration of Meredith Manor International Equestrian Centre is grateful for the opportunity to serve so many individuals in our communities over the past 58 years.”

Fell down a rabbit hole… from what I’ve read looks like they filed for bankruptcy decades ago and this ad has language to appeal to venture capitalists/investors. More than one realtor has shared this ad, so my “they” is referring only to the link below. They are aware it isn’t turn-key and the place needs more than TLC. They said it is off-market and they are just posting for marketing purposes. Lots of commentary and negativity appears to be allowed, unlike the original link where “you will be banned”, so an interesting read: https://www.facebook.com/groups/166034047281992/permalink/1279248629293856/
This is just what I’m skimming over so don’t take it as gospel! I haven’t even gotten half way through the commentary yet.
ETA … this is being posted by a real estate wholesaler probably just wanting to double close and get the profit without ownership. Not that I really want to give any more traffic to them (they are an LLC out of Florida), but here it is listed through their affiliated off market site: https://www.mtrdeals.com/?p=5000&listing_id=2693775&listing_type=
As a young girl growing up in a toxic home, the ads for Meredith Manor seemed like another planet. No abuse? And horses right there? Heaven.

The Facebook “listing” post certainly didn’t go the way the poster thought it would go. Falling down a rabbit hole, indeed.
