Has anyone used him? What traits does he pass on to his babies and what type of mares does he cross well with?
this may be of minimal help but i had a mare by him years ago, she was the most genuine mare i have ever ridden, scopey and careful but completely what i call amateur proof!!!
i could miss her at 1.40m and she would skip over it and then on to the next without flinching. had about 3 poles in the 4 years i owned her.amazing mare.
i will try and find the dam sire details.
Is he available in the US? I saw a bunch of his get while I was in England and quite smitten with them.
I have a Mermus x Nimmerdor broodmare from a very good performance dam line. She is one of my all time favorite mares and earned her sport predicate (1.45) before import to the states. She was careful, scopey, a bit spirited, and if I had to fault her, slightly weak in the back. She is highly intelligent. Her first daughter (US born) is competing in Holland in her age classes.
