I have finally caught up with my life and got my album from my trip out west up and running. You can see it from a link over on the Trails forum under “Photos fro Yellowstone trip”. I have a slide show.
That said, this thread is about meeting our own Lost Farmer, Lost Farmer’sWife, and 2 of the the LCs and and LostCousin!!!
Once we arrived in Victor ID and got settled in, I gave LF a call. LFW answered and said LF had an offer we could not refuse. He vary gallantly offered us a tour of the Teton Valley that evening and a tour of his farm.

So LF gave us a grand tour of his valley.
He has 2 shires, the two paint ponies and the two cute welsh cross ponies that LC1 and 2 drive.
The view from his front porch. This is the Grand Teton itself.
I have more photos but not posted in my album.
After we got to his farm, LF handed me the keys to his van and said “take it back to Moose Creek Ranch and come back to morrow for breakfast”. What a guy.
So we did, and came back for the most incredible breakfast–all products either from his farm or local farms. Sausage, has browns, eggs, fresh milk, jellies, jams, fruit syurps and some wonderful buttermilk syurp. LFW made it all from scratch!!!
Some of our group took photos and I will get them. My camera was packed away this particular morning.
Afterwards, he took us around the valley showing us homesteads, old cabins, new developments that the locals call homes for “cul de sac” people. There are two types of folks in the valley–the ones who are all related and have family going back several generation and the cul de sac folks.
These are the ones who come in the summer and live in those cabins.
Then LF delivered us to the Dry Ridge barn and our ride adventure began. Thanks so much LF, enjoyed meeting you and your family. You made our trip so much more enjoyable for your part in it.
Thank you
