Hello! I’ve got A question, I’m making lead ropes and to finish them I need to put on that metal part (NOT THE CLIP) but the Bracket sort of thing that wraps around it underneath the clip, the part that looks like a capital I, but it wraps around the rope… Do any of you know what that is called… Thanks!
A clamp:

I won’t own a lead with a clamp on it, seen WAY too many clamped lead ropes fail at a hard pull.
Our leadropes are backbraided or knotted behind the snaps, so they can’t
fail me when I need the strength to hold a horse even for a moment.
Thank you so much!!

Yup. No clamps here, either.
You would probably be able to find them at Tractor Supply, or a similar farm store.

Not here either. Nope, nope, nope. Not when one is training young horses or handling stallions.
