As a vacuumer, what do you think about RICO for a hypothetical situation where a group kept talking about getting rid of someone, brought in someone from out of state with a weapon, and used that weapon for attempted murder?

You seem to be confusing lawful eviction with a RICO statute level, master plan to FINISH THE BASTARD, filing false reports, the willful destruction of property, the planning of destruction of property, libel, harassment, coercion, extortion, theft, assault, possible attempted murder, conspiracy etc that can all be considered as actions done by certain party or parties.

And until evidence shows a text where MB says to RC “hey bring your gun up so I can use it to murder someone” it is nothing more than you unfoundedly accusing multiple parties of premeditated murder.

And strangely, even the prosecutor Schellhorn didn’t charge that. I wonder why?

No, I’m sorry, I don’t understand your point of falsely stating as fact Michael Barisone shot anyone, held a gun, attempted murder, loaded a gun, took a gun from a locker, or had a full cartridge in his pocket, when there is no forensic evidence to back up your continued statements. The verdict doesn’t prove to me he did anything. The verdict proved to me the jury did not have the evidence to convict him of anything other than being insane and unable to remember the events of the afternoon of 8/7/19 to participate in his own defense.

My point to you is I consider your statements of fact that Barisone shot anyone, with zero forensic evidence, is as offensive to me and the posts you flag are offensive to you!! So, let’s agree that you believe what you need to about Michael Barisone’s intended actions on 8/7/19 and allow me the same for what I believe about Robert Guy Goodwin’s intentions that day, okay?

I’m not making statements about “Michael Barisone’s intended actions on 8/7/19,” given that the jury found he was unable to form intent.

I’m making statements about what Michael Barisone physically did, as determined by the jury to the standard of “beyond a reasonable doubt.” MB did not attempt to murder LK.

There is no statement in the public record to back up your defamatory claim that RG attempted to murder MB. There is considerable evidence that RG could have choked MB to death, but refrained from doing so.

Why yes. LK called herself a liar on SM. I’ve read the same posts as everyone else. Creative, nonsensical, too much, sometimes flat mean, quietly heartbreaking.

I happen to feel sorry for LK and her family AND MB. To some, that means I must be a friend or family. I am not. I think the whole situation is a tragedy which I’ve said from the start.

I think LK and a group here go way too far on SM. It gets cruel. I understand it a little better now as it can be very tempting to pop off with a comment sure to be regretted later.

I’ve said all along she deserved to be evicted but not shot.

The ganging up on her and bringing in her family and friends is too much. The malicious glee of many of the posts is over the top. People commit suicide over SM.

What happened to you? You had good insightful comments at the start. How did you get sucked into such a rigid and closed echo chamber?.

Some people make wonderful comments on other threads but here or on NP, the DHH, CP and other threads that may even have been created to understand a situation just blow past any concept of open discussion, they become more of a feeding frenzy (complete with cake and cookies ).

Until you are you will not comprehend why others don’t feel sorry for her or her enabling family. None of this needed to happen. It is apparent to me now after reading today’s filing how involved Jonathan Kanarek actually was in the plans to destroy Barisone. Jonathan Kanarek definitely was aware of his daughter’s attacks on others and obviously did nothing to stop her. Until today a little voice in the back of my head whispered that maybe he was trying to stop her and failed. Instead, he was in the thick of it planning it all. And you think they were joking? How offensive.

Did Lauren Kanarek deserve to be shot that day? No. No she didn’t, and we all know I am not convinced how she was shot. By the same token, did Michael Barisone and his family deserve to be systematically terrorized for several weeks to the point of a mental break and then beat within an inch of his life? No. No, he didn’t.

At least make an attempt to comprehend there is no limit to what this family will do to others.

It is a real shame the powers that be ignored or off-handedly dismissed LK’s years long torment of GJ with a yawn and a flutter of their well-manicured hands. Imagine if harassing someone who had fewer resources (money, family with clout, connections) had been taken seriously instead of waved off because GJ wasn’t important enough to take semi-seriously. So from my interpretation of the texts, it appears that LK absolutely knew she wasn’t wanted and that she was aware she was being evicted, that calling the fire marshal appears to have been punitive as they joked about MB (etc) being homeless, and that it was suggested to bug the place by the dumpster which eludes to private places being bugged.

Dang. And that’s just a handful of texts. If I were MB, I would never settle. Also, wouldn’t you love to dig through the rest of the info MB’s legal team has?

Bless your heart. Lauren Kanarek and her sidekick and family don’t scare me and never will, anymore than she scared the others still on this thread who she threatened since the incident. What you fail to realize is none of her other victims were within her physical proximity 24/7, on their own property while she and her family conspired to destroy them, their reputation, their business and their life. That would make a huge difference particularly when RG was lurking around intimidating others.

No, I wasn’t. IM expressed here on COTH months earlier that LK viewed MHG as the one who pressured and manipulated MB to get rid of LK and attempt to get her banned by USEF, and that MBs mental balance broke under the strain of many pressures, but first and foremost the pressure from MHG.

I have great empathy for MB in that his mental break resulted in tragic actions that, I assume, he would not have committed had he been sane. He, LK, and everyone is a victim of this horrible tragedy.

I think the Kanareks were trying to convey to Tarshis that they did not hold MB morally responsible, given the insanity.

I am staggered to see that anyone with an iota of good sense, let alone an individual with a law degree, would make a point of approaching a potential witness in a criminal trial. Particularly a potential or known witness who is an attorney by training and profession.
