Michael/ Lauren civil trial update February 9

Okay…I haven’t even THOUGHT of night court in a cazillion years.

Read this, went to do my words with friends…and guess what comes up in an ad? Yup, night court.

Creepy and somewhat disturbing.

Is it just me, or does anyone else get the feeling that something is afoot?

Yup

Anything in particular standing out or is it just a sixth sense by now?

Gut feeling on my part.

Well I had a great ride last week. It seems like every time I have a great ride something has happened in the case……or in a thread….

Dang, you ride dressage right? What do you mean you had a great ride?

I had to get a new saddle and it was the first ride in it. It was great because it felt like I got my horse back and she gave me a wonderful balanced stretchy trot circle. If you can call me a dressage rider, sure, but I’m pretty much a low level backyard rider who has taken a handful of dressage lessons on my old western speed pony mare. But I do like to learn, so I do a lot of dressage theory homework.

A question about the robot lawyers. How are they going to complete the recaptcha to prove they are not robots?

Yeah, I noticed that. That’s why I used to get my western fix on the Pleasure Horse Forum. There were some serious big name trainers that used to participate. It was really interesting to read and learn a lot from with minimal BSC.

Possibly. I remember the Breeding section going off the deep end a couple of times, so bad it was put on a time out so everyone could calm down. The Krazy Kolor Breeders wars were great for entertainment as well on a regular basis. Heather Hill is definitely another interesting character, there was also the lunging at Devon thread that showed another level of cray-cray in the jumper world as well. I just haven’t seen that in any of the western groups I’ve spent any time in.

I am, if I can remember to actually do it.

I saw the actress who is playing the judge on a talk show last week. And there was an article in the New York Times the other day about John Larroquette returning to his role on the show after three decades and change. So it should be interesting, I would think.

Edited to add the link to the interview with the actress. I love the fact that she wore comfy clothing for her talk show appearance. So many of the actresses wear the sky high heels, so that the host has to give them a hand walking up the steps, and the super short skirts, so they have to be extremely careful when they sit down. Which they can certainly wear if they want to, since it’s a free country. But I love the fact that this person totally went the other way. Lol.

Gift link to the Times article.

I’m going to chime in and say that it was mostly just that one person on that thread who was cray-cray.

Not that there are not other crazy people in the discipline, but I don’t think she was really a typical representative of the sport.

I will add that was back in the day when the moderation on this board was a little… different. These days, I don’t think that thread would have dragged on for half as long.

The moderation now pretty much lets people talk as long as they want to.

True, but there are some comments that are not allowed these days if someone brings them to the moderator’s attention. That thread included a lot of those comments, as I recall.

Some of your gut feelings were correct. I happened to look within 5 minutes of the filing.

There is a new filing by Attorney Stone, LK’s new lawyer, asking the court to deny MB’s counterclaim.

"Wherefore, plantiff demands defendant Barisone’s counterclaim be dismissed with prejudice, and that fees and costs be awarded Plantiff.
