Well… it probably depends on what the fee arrangement is.

Is GAS representing them on a contingency plus expenses type of basis? Or are they paying GAS by the hour?

Who knows. I would imagine it is not a pure contingency arrangement, however. Not at this stage of the game.

The other amusing thought… if they ARE paying GAS by the hour… they are going to have to pay him quite a bit while he gets up to speed on the case, and reads thousands and thousands of pages of social media posts that LK herself made.

I also wouldn’t be surprised if he is regularly flagging posts that he finds particularly objectionable - IOW, trying to control the discussion here by pressuring the mods to acquiesce to his “demands.”

Someone is definitely hyper focused on flagging a very specific set of posts that reference specific associations.

It’s very interesting how sensitive some people are about even oblique references to certain topics.

What he should do is watch the criminal trial for context and to see how his star plaintiff performed under oath previously. That might be eye-opening to him.

As I think I’ve said before, I certainly hope he bills them for his time spent watching the trial.

I think being beaten up, arrested, losing your business, and spending almost 4 years incarcerated plus attorneys fees is pretty significant in the “what are the damages?” department. Remember, MBs contention is that the taunting by Lk with the records lead to his breakdown and the shooting.

That has some interesting implications for how much GAS might really know about the case.

I think giving illegal recordings to SS very well could damage his reputation.

I think putting his Privileged conversation between him and his attorney on FB could be damaging to both MB and his attorney.

I think that I know less than one-tenth of what Mr Deininger knows, and I could make these arguments with what we’ve seen already.

It’s not just about his reputation. It’s about the total affect having his private life put on blast the week leading up to Aug 7th.

But do you think any of that hurt MB’s reputation? If it was on 48 hrs maybe. But as many people here continued to stay LK’s actions have only hurt herself, the dressage community supports him. And the dressage community doesn’t believe anything she says anyway. It didn’t hurt him in the criminal trial, having not been presented and as
he wasn’t found straight guilty. Just how much has he been damaged specifically from these tapes? Maybe emotionally being concerned they might come out at some point.

I guess we’ll have to see. I seriously doubt there is anything on any recording he would object to. If they were as the Kanareks insist, Schellhorn would have found a way to introduce them - guaranteed.
Have you heard them? Put yourself in Michael’s position for just a minute. Also consider the lengths LK went to on this forum to bully posters - many left and didn’t return. All for what?

I think you might be giving some people too much credit, and overestimating their intellectual capacity when it comes to trying to gather intelligence and form a coherent legal strategy that can be used to both make their own case, and defend against MBs counterclaims.

I might be wrong, but I suspect he’s regularly logging in so that he can check his PMs, and send messages to posters he is still in touch with.

That thought has been at the back of my mind for a while. I have no idea who they would be sending messages to though.
