Michael/ Lauren civil trial update February 9

We have no Crumbl outfits here. Since I am under the impression I don’t like cookies, this is ok.

Yikes! I hadn’t heard of that - thanks for sharing it.

The store near me has closed.

Those are nice colors, especially the black roan! I wonder why they dock the tails. Is it maybe so they don’t get caught in the farming equipment?

I was told it was so the line (rein) would not get caught under the horse’s tail.

I’ll probably never go to Crumbl. I still haven’t gone to the newish donut place right by me. When it first opened there were lines. No lines any more. Can’t remember name of place.

Crumbl has more than 600 shops in 47 states and started in Utah in 2017. Meanwhile, Dirty Dough has seven shops and is currently in two states.

However, when the lawsuit was first filed, Dirty Dough only had one store.

You may be onto something here. I had the same sinking feeling when Borders announced a big expansion and sniffs we know how that ended.

Krispy Kreme that’s the name!

Krispy Kreme opened something new near you recently?.

Krispy Kream is one of NC’s great wonders. Get them warm, swoon, they melt in your mouth.

I read that, and the article also said that if they’re family members of the franchise owner, that there are very few restrictions.

It is pretty easy to get in trouble for child labor law infractions.

I am not saying that makes it OK. So don’t twist what I am saying. I am simply saying that even a good employer can get smacked. Which is why lots of places will not hire young people because there are so many rules.

Simply clocking out at 7:05 is an infraction.
Tossing an empty cardboard box into the compactor is an infraction.

Again, not OK to do things the wrong way, but having an infraction does not mean they are evil.

Okay. No kids on the payroll here.

I’m a New Yorker, and I don’t like Krispy Kreme. I think they taste like theyre made with Crisco. I can taste the lard. That’s just me, but they’re not for me.

Krispy Kreme didn’t last long in Massachusetts. Dunkin Donuts pretty much owns the space, although we also have Honey Dew, and many local donut shops.

Yes. Last year.

I’m a Dunkin fan, have the App, am getting them later to bring to my aunts birthday party.

Not my favorite either.

They likely didn’t last because KK is a Donut place that sells Coffee, while Dunkin Donuts is a Coffee/Tea/Juice place that sells Donuts, Pastries, Bagels, Muffins, and Sandwiches for the various meals of the day. Owning a KK requires a massive investment in start-up fees and buy-in costs, not to mention the location requirements and expensive design standards set by the corporate folks, which means you have to turn a high profit consistently, to make it pay off before you default on your loans or whatever. Dunkin Donuts doesn’t have that problem, because they use a franchising model that is commonplace throughout the industry.

This thread reminds me of a group of friends sitting around with drinks (coffee, alcohol, etc) discussing everything under the sun until the news comes on. :upside_down_face:

I have somehow managed to go through my whole life without ever having anything from Krispy Kreme, as far as I can recall.

I’m debating whether to do the same approach with Crumbl. But it does almost seem like fate that I would find out about them on this thread on the same day I was right near one without knowing it, and now I will be right near that same one again today. Lol.
