I switched my horse to a Micklem for flat work last year and it has really worked out very well for her. I would like to get a couple of spare pieces for the bridle, however, particularly the leather bit straps. The straps I have now are on the last hole and, because they have to be folded/curled so tight in order to make the loop to buckle, I find that they are wearing faster than the rest of the bridle. I would love to find a place where I can buy some spare bridle parts to have as a backup. Any ideas? Dover and Smartpak only seem to sell the full bridle.

If you have a dark brown one, PM me and I will happily send you all the bit straps you will ever need. I ended up with two packages of replacements and Horseware sells them in packs of 10 or 12 or some such. Sold the bridle a while back and haven’t been able to unload the straps on anyone!

Thanks for the offer, but I have a black bridle. I ordered them from Horseware though.

If you have a brown bridle, I have a pair you are welcome to have if you pay shipping.
They should have come with a spare pair even if sized slightly differently but you should be able to order directly from them. Try Shopatron if you can’t find them.
