I’m looking at getting a Micklem for my mare and was wondering if anyone knows if the competition bridle can be converted to bitless (assuming I can get my hands on the necessary strap!). I prefer the construction of the competition bridle and definitely don’t need the ring on the noseband, but would like to have a bitless option.

The rings on the competition bridle are smaller than on the multibridle, for a more refined look. It might be difficult to get your reins attached.

You definitely can. I ride my gelding bitless in the competition bridle without the additional strap.

The straps won’t fit through the rings, but if you just connect the reins to the ring ( the softest option) it will work
