Midnight Bourbon Dies Suddenly

…Asmussen said the Kentucky Horse Racing Commission and the Kentucky Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory are investigating the particulars of the death. He said Midnight Bourbon suddenly took ill after working Sunday, with the horse succumbing “around 10:30 or 11 that morning.”

So sad and so young. So many horses passing away lately. Condolences to those that loved him.

I was in shock reading this. I was the owner of the other JC registered Midnight Bourbon, who also passed away suddenly from an acute gastrointestinal situation just several weeks ago. The title of this post and reading the article felt like another punch to the gut.
