Midwest clinics

Anyone know of any clinics near chicago or Indiana over the next few months? Interested in riding in some clinics.

So Equine Affair is coming up in Columbus in April, and they always have an H/J clinician and look for participants for all three height divisions. Might be worth checking that out if you don’t mind being a Guinea pig for a larger-than-usual audience?

Are you hauling your own horse in? What level and height are you looking for? And do you want to focus on Hunters, Jumpers, Eq, CC or ???

yes hauling my own, looking for 3’ hunter/jumper or eq–but prefer more eq
I am not on FB so have just been searching local barns to see if they’re hosting any clinics, not finding too many.

Have you tried the regional and state HJ Clubs? Think USHJA has a list of clinics somewhere.

Probably Fall is a better time to look for Clinics. This time of year most are showing heavily to get qualified, theres a window in Fall when showing numbers drop after cut off dates and before next year starts in earnest. That window is smaller then it used to be but many clinicians and trainers have more time for Clinics.

You might try looking for Clinics running on the grounds, or close to them, of Summer Circuit shows.

Good luck.

hmmm. Generally, you are not going to find a true "eq" clinic (or hunter for that matter) in Indiana. There are plenty of barns (more eventing barns) that have clinicians come out for the stadium (ring jumping portion). Clinicians who come to the Indianapolis/southern Indiana region off the top of my head: Robert Mendoza, Sharon White, Tim Bourke, Chris Kappler. Other people may know of others. As a former Zone 2 resident and current in the corn belt  this is not a hotbed of hunter/eq clinics (though there are a few high end barns but they do not host clinics).
