So I was trying to get my gate to relearn the correct opening, but I followed the “push to open” instructions instead of the “pull to open” ones. I hit the “learn mast” button when it was open, not closed.
Now my gate stops midway and won’t close completely. How do I get it to shut all the way so I can now follow the correct learn procedure? Do I need to reset the whole mother board and reset remotes too? Ugh!!
You have to reset both the open and close settings. Once you get the full open position set, then you reset the closed position.
Is there supposed to be two buttons? I only have one"learn mast" button.
manuals says:
Press and hold the “LEARN MAST LIMIT” button for
10 seconds, or until the alarm sounds to clear. Go back to the
setting closed limit steps on the top of this page.

Thank you! I couldn’t see the “Resetting Closed Gate Limit” in the bright sunshine on my phone and never hit the learn button long enough. My gate now closes with no gap, yay! (No neighbor’s dog sneaking in to kill my rooster anymore!)
the manual for the Mighty Mule was written by an in-house engineer at Tallahassee, many of the steps are not completely clear as he knew what the thing was supposed to do so he just jumped to conclusions that everyone knew it
