Hi!
Glad you posted! I’m a member of MCH. I didn’t get to go to the Midwest Horse Fair, but heard it was awesome. I’m glad you found us there.
Hunting with MCH is a lot of fun. We have 2 fields – one jumping and one non-jumping. The second field stays right behind the first field for the most part. Our master likes to keep us right up with the hounds so there’s plenty to watch. Our territory varies from plowed fields, to woods, to open pasture and you never know where you’ll end up — it just depends on which way the coyote is running that day!
I’ve made great friends in the hunt and am learning tons. One of my favorite things about this hunt is that the huntsman and masters and older members want to help new comers learn and enjoy the sport. The territory is absolutely stunning and there are times that I’m overwhelmed by the beauty, pageantry and tradition of hunting with MCH.
If you’re interested, please PM with your email address and I’ll get you added to our mailing list.
