The farm had been abandoned by people, but storks kept coming from Africa and building their nests. So they built to incorporate the storks, and designed the arena like a stork’s nest…it’s an interesting idea, and the property was completely run down when they started, it said. They wanted to revitalize the property, and probably show off Czech ingenuity, as well.
The property is also used for corporate events and meetings. I think the horses are just one part of it.
I wonder if it’s still there, the Facebook page hasn’t been updated in three years.
Round Pens
So I’m in the market for a new or used round pen. Was using a friends (who later on offered it to me for $200 - still kicking myself for not buying it!!) What are new ones going for? I found a used 60’ for $900 in NY but it was already sold that night… Am I just better off buying new? And what is an acceptable price around Lancaster/Chester Co, Pa?
The architecture is very imaginative, but I don’t know that I’d like the movement into and out of the sunlight in those random patterns - kind of like riding through the woods.
And the grass does seem to like growing.
I think it is way cool.
