The following ad popped up onscreen tonight (at least at first glance I thought it did) –

Sleep soundly with peaceful meditations and soothing sleepcats.

I’ll take a purring sleepcat or two. What’s their phone number?

What was it supposed to say?

I find that when I first wake up and am scrolling, sentences or post topics tend to merge in my mind. I should stop and write some down because I forget them almost immediately. But some of them are really funny.

Yeah, anyone sleeping with my cats would know that that “soothing” is not the word to describe them!

“Mom, I’m hungry. Mom. Mom. HUNGRY!!! Mom, get up. Mom, pet me. Mom - hey, I didn’t say you could pet me! I’ll lay right next to you so you can’t roll over. HOW DARE YOU TRY TO ROLL OVER!”

My girl does that now that she’s older. Mama, that’s my side of the bed. … Mama, now THAT’s my side. And I have to walk across you to get there. … Mama, feed me. Yes it IS breakfast time. When I wanna eat, that’s breakfast time!

Our cats push me off the bed. The older one snuggles. The young one bites, if disturbed.

I never slept well when our cat ( at the time) a 25 pound baby huey just had to sleep on my legs or against them in such a way as to pin me in an unmovable and extremely uncomfortable position and I could never get him off…

If he tried it with my husband he could somehow send him flying off the end of the bed…

We have two 35 pound dogs sleeping on the bed now and things aren’t any better. I have come to accept that a true good nights sleep is not possible for a pet owner when the animals sleep inside at night…

I have tried sleeping with a Labrador, and a Miniature Poodle (but not at the same time) and I get what you mean. Sigh. Yawn.

My mom has pictures of me sleeping with our GSD as a teen in my single bed. I was smashed against the wall while the dog was stretched out in comfort. I guess I was young enough that I could still sleep like that…

Well, you could be DH or me, with a cat who’s obsessed with draping herself over one’s left shoulder and being carried around like a big baby. For hours if one allows it. There’s more to the story, but we both get Gracie-fied every day.
