Owner lost her horse after he bolted out of the West Lot at Shaker Village on Saturday at about noon. “Lemon” was still saddled with a breastplate on; the only tack we’ve found so far is the bit still attached to the reins. The bit and reins were found between the West Lot and the Village. He is a 17h grey, draft cross (see photo).
We spent about 6 hours searching on horseback on Sunday, with hikers and drivers looking at the same time. They also spent several hours searching immediately after he went missing on Saturday before it was too dark. No trace of the horse has been seen at all since the bit was found.
