Remember they were developed after research before the Atlanta Olympics for use in heat and humidity? Did they have them at Tryon? I can’t remember if they were used at Lexington after XC, but I recall the weather there as lovely and nicely fall cool.
They didn’t have them for the reiners in the indoor - where there was no AC or Fans. They were sponging them down with ice water during the practices to keep them cool.
They definitely had them for eventing - I walked thru several tunnels of them, one in the catch area after X-co finish, and two out on course.

- COOLING FACILITIES – ICE AND MISTING FANS
Ice will be available:
• In the stable area,
• At the finish of each competition, and
• Mobile cooling teams will be placed at strategic points around the Endurance, Eventing Cross-Country and Driving Marathon courses.
Misting fans will be available at the finish of Eventing Cross-Country and Driving Marathon.
