Hope to see you there!

Thank you for posting.

It’s too far for Houdini and me (since we’d have to talk the neighbor with the trailer into carting us down there) - but, oh, after this sweltering summer with no riding it lifts my heart to see upcoming hunter paces posted.

I hope y’all have a big success!

I’m begging my barn to make a trip!!!

We would love to have you, the more the merrier!

it is very kind of you

I just learned that there will be a concession stand at this pace, and also carriage classes starting after 1 pm

Ugh, I soooo wanted to take my greenie three year old to this; but he came up with a minor leg swelling last week and I’ve decided to give him 30 days off. Do you know when the next one will be?

I believe it is January 2. You can always check on our website on the fixture page, and of course the facility is always open for schooling, just call ahead.
We are also having another Jumping Sunday on 9/12 and on 9/26 and on 10/10.
Jumping sundays are from 8-10, and are tons of fun.

**next pace will be October 31

we are coming with two horses, my green sale horse and a boarders horse.
jager- is the 1 mile over fences a team thing or can you do it alone?

You may do the one mile courses alone. We just send people out on the 5 mile at least two at a time for safety. Some folks do the one milers in teams also, up to you on those.

bumping up to add that stallions are welcomed at the hunter paces

A good time was had by all, and thanks to all those who came out to help us support our beloved hounds!

I was informed today that our next pace will be Sunday October 31 and in addition to the regular offerings we will also have lots of fun things like costume classes for all ages, more fun stuff for the kids and leadliners, and other neat things and prizes!

So save the date and plan to join us at The Perry Plantation for a fun pace on Oct 31!

if you wish to be on the email list for notifications, email Alexis at mmhounds@aol.com , put hunting in the subject line and just ask her to place you on the list

Hope to see you out soon!

A little late to the game… but I wanted to add my two cents.

I went to the MMH hunter pace this weekend and had THE BEST TIME!

This was my first time out with my new horse. He was great, I had more fun than I’ve had in ages, and it was super organized. Perry Plantation is just beautiful.

The crew is great - SO friendly. It seemed like everyone who participated/spectated had a smile on their face. Quite a welcome change from the hunter/jumper shows, where it always seems like for every person who is enjoying their show experience, you see someone who is miserable balancing them out. Clearly not the case at the Misty Morning Hounds hunter pace. I met so many new horsemen and women and can’t wait to see everyone and be in that positive atmosphere again.

We’ll definitely be back for the Oct. 31st pace. Will spread the word at the FCHJA show this weekend as well.

Chrissy, thank you for your kind words, that is all very nice to hear. We do try very hard to provide a fun and welcoming atmosphere to riders of all levels. The volunteers are primarily hunt staff and a few members who donate their time the day of the pace and before the pace for the preparation. So we very much like to hear that our hard work is appreciated!

Now we just need to get you out hunting…you ain’t seen nothing yet!

good luck at the show, I’ll miss this one but will be at the next pace for sure!
