Mites on a hamster?

One of her kids’ hamsters has mites. She tried Ivermectin and that took care of 'em. But now their back. So her questions:

1. Is there a better cure?

2. How often can you re-dose with Ivermectin without poisoning the poor little pookah?

Thank you for your help. This is a single mom with few funds trying to give her kids experience with some pets.

It’s the bedding. She should be freezing or baking her bedding.

You can dose with ivermectin every week. She’s using the liquid, diluted down, right?

Chances are, she never “cured” the bedding during all of this. I wouldn’t have thought of it.
