Oh I don’t know, Greyhounds are tall enough to rest your hand on if you feel unsteady. 
And they can squeeze into a remarkably small space!

Keep in mind that Whippets are more “spicy” than Greyhounds - particularly when they’re young! 
They do vary individually in terms of their energy levels, but most of them basically settle down once they are three or four years old – then again are always ready at the drop of a hat to play and run (or at least my four-year-old is!)
