Monica Thors
The threats are not coming from people directly involved in helping the animals. They’re coming from people, mostly from far away, who are drawn like flies to situations like this because, lets face it, Monica doesn’t have a monopoly on mental illness. They’re just projecting their own sick anger, and laserbob is using it as red herring. Lets keep focused on what’s important.
I don’t agree with their posting of OTHER alleged abuse cases on the Stop Monica Thors facebook page w/o labeling it as such. There is a lot of time to fill before the Jan 27 court date. They want more charges. ultimately deportation, and nothing less.

The rhetoric forced the NJSPCA to tell them to STFU.
While I agree that the comments can be ridiculous, I will never be convinced that it wasn’t the pressure of public perception that got the NJ SPCA to finally get off their ass and help those horses.
The personal safety of Ms. Thors, and her personnel, came into play.

My take on this situation:

  1. laserRob=NJSPCA=Capt
  2. Thors should be in protective custody because
    A She is protected
B Anyone that wants to hurt her can not
C All the animals she has access to are safe

My take Laserrob=peanut gallery member.

Yeah right.

Generally speaking, if the police believe there is a credible threat to a person’s safety, they offer some sort of protection. They don’t arrest the threatened person and seize her property.

I’m just saying it came into play, and forced them to move quickly.

Nah. I call BS on that. Carriage drivers and researchers who use animals and foxhunters in England get death threats all the time, in a number of jurisdictions. I do not believe NJ SPCA ‘sped’ into action because of death threats. Because public safety isn’t their jurisdiction, animal welfare is.

And still makes zero sense. Try again.

Anouk, I am so sorry I posted the update on this case, I promise, I will NOT post or get involved anymore, everyone is so mad, abusive, and can’t let it go. The past is the past, and I don’t care how long it took, we got the horses saved, some of them, the hate and aggression that I am seeing is just beyond what I can comprehend. I will follow this page, and I hope to be at her court date if possible, but for all the hate comments, for all involved, I just can’t handle. NO ONE is a good person here, not you, not me, not the supporters and not the NJSPCA, you can’t please everyone and this page has sure proved it. I am so sorry there is so much anger and hate on the past, that is past, we need people to move forward, to the future, so this doesn’t happen again. I guess it’s another reason why I just love my animals so much, they don’t know how to “Hate” for me, I would take an animal over a human anytime…animals don’t judge, that is the purpose of this page, they needed out help, but this page now has turned into aggressive humans, pointing fingers, on the past, MOVE FORWARD HUMANS! Get over it, lets use this for future animal rescue situations! I am just SO DONE!

There is no excuse for posting death threats to NJSPCA staff or Monica Thors or anyone. NJSPCA does deserve criticism for ignoring the abuse until the tv station stepped in. It’s naive to say, yes, we ignored this horrible suffering for over a year until tv news publicized our lack of action but please just forget about that. “I don’t care how long it took.” Well, some of us do care. That being said, I haven’t, and don’t think anyone should get vulgar & nasty. But there’s no excuse for letting that abuse go on so long once they knew about it.

It’s a very public eye-opener that can be turned into a learning/solution process.

Anouk should be commended for her persistence. I can hardly imagine what it was like to be a neighbor, knowing what was going on down the road. It was no doubt very, very exhaustive. Whatever Monica was trying simply wasn’t working.

The top echelon need to take a step back, and turn the Facebook site over to others…and make this a positive learning process while keeping an eye on the case. The main players were too close, and it shows.

They need to prep others that there is a chance that the remaining 5 may be returned to Monica Thors.

Positive communication needs to be re-established with the Captain/NJSPCA.

There was very much a fire here, but not the firestorm it’s turned into.

Thanks to Anouk for taking down the unrelated abuse case.

You want to return the 5 horses to Monica Thors? Am I misunderstanding you? Or are you high?

I said a ‘chance’ they would be returned.

Speaking of ‘5’. That’s the number of days their facebook should shut down as a ‘cooling’ off period.

People will understand.

As I’m sure most people expected, Monica Thors’ own Facebook page has now gone either fully private and/or deleted the photos and posts.

There is another FB page that seems to be focused on the cats: https://www.facebook.com/pwnj.org/posts/737292089673761 They’re trying to get witnesses/documentation.

Some of Monica’s memorials to dead cats here: http://www.mtphoto.com/missed_friends.html There’s creepy stuff told in first-person cat style about all the washing & cleaning.

The woman, Monica Thors, was a horse
trainer, groom, and equine photographer,
and she also runs Monica Thors Animal
Rescue and Monica Thors Feline Division.
She was a lifesaver that summer, presenting
a comprehensive plan for the Meadowlands
cats to the new owner, who decided they
could stay.

LaseRob, geez, you are just posting nonsense.

He just sounds emotionally like an infant. Nothing he says makes sense or smacks of any kind of general observation of the facts. He spews whatever comes into his mind and it comes out his mouth (fingers) without any kind of thought or governer. He has no first hand experience to substantiate himself or he would have done so already. Laserbob is a troll who types things to see if anyone jumps on them.

Maybe laser rob is Monica.
It is on the NJ SPCA page.
https://www.facebook.com/njspca
I’m sorry. The link did not help. Calendars? Donations? all kinds of crud to wade through to find some pertinent information?

Is Laser rob serious? or is Laser rob a troll?

Laser rob, Whatever the reason(s) for your incoherent postings, you are not helping your cause (whatever it may be) AT ALL.
