Mono flap vs. conventional design?

I am considering ordering a “Everest” model in the Custom Saddlery line of dressage saddles. One has a choice of ordering a mono-flap design or a conventional two-flap. Does anyone on the list have a preference for one or the other? The mono flap has the advantage of putting the rider closer to the sides of the horse, but I am wondering if the additional flap underneath gives the tree a degree of added support and stability?

Thoughts?

I had the single-flap Everest and loved it. Unless its changed, it’s not a true monoflap. It’s a really nice single flap design that gives you the closeness to the horse of the monflap, without literally making it one piece.

Nope.

Go Monoflap!

Love my monoflap.

I prefer monoflap. I’m not sure it’s really the big deal many present, but it just feels more comfortable to me.

I just got a monoflap. I find my horse is more responsive, perhaps he feels my leg more…

Monoflap! I’ll never go back.

Thank you everyone! Done!!
