more stallion eye candy - Oldenburger Hengst Tage 2012

Stallion candidates are up!

Dressage (OL) stallions here - http://oldenburger-pferde.net/de/auktion/auktion/auktionen/oldenburger-hengst-tage-2012_ol.html

Jumping (OS) stallions here - http://oldenburger-pferde.net/de/auktion/auktion/auktionen/oldenburger-hengst-tage-2012_os.html

I am not a fan of this new format - I would like to see more info on the colts - such as the dams in the pedigrees (not just sire/damsire/2nd damsire), successful family members, breeder & owners, etc. I know this info will be in the catalog but it would be nice to be able to view it online.

Trying to learn and develop my eye: Which of the dressage stallion have a really good walk?

Love the eye candy. Interesting; the stallions without videos aren’t for sale. Love the Diamond Hit.

Agree with Clint–love the Diamond Hit. Didn’t look at all, just Quaterback (no vid), Sir Donnerhall I and II. Of those liked DH the best.

Yeah, I don’t like it either as you cannot see much just with damsire and 2nd damsire. That is not helpful if you are trying to research the damline. Wish they would go back to the old format.

My favorite dressage colts: 50 (by Fursetenball), 52 (by Gribaldi T), followed (in no particular order) by 32, 44, 57, 59
Jumper colts: 13 (by Cornet’s Stern) and 20 (by Lordanos), then 7 ( byClinton I)

It is online! You just have to download the PDF of the catalogue. If you look up in the right hand corner above the first horse listed, you will see a tiny PDF icon. Click on it, and voila! you have the catalogue

Love #52

Thanks! But that PDF icon is SMALL, I didn’t see it before and maybe they should make it more obvious.

Cool, they must have just added it yesterday. It wasn’t there the other day. It is that stupid Flippingbook format instead of a PDF, but at least it shows the catalog pages.

A quick flip through that flippin’ book reveals the following info:

#48 is full brother to Fürstbischof, reserve champion of the 2011 Licensing
#61 is a full brother to San Amour
#63 is out of a full sister to Wolkentanz I and Wolkentanz II

And a bunch of them have SPS sisters or half-sisters (same dam).

I will try to go back through it in more depth when I have time.

Tomorrow, the 2012 Oldenburg Stallion Licensing begins with 70 talented stallions being showcased. This year, many members of our NA Society are making the journey to be a part of the action! For those of us who cannot attend, the event will be live streamed via Clipmyhorse beginning tomorrow morning at 11am EST/8am PST at: http://www.clipmyhorse.de/en/preview/detail/351/oldenburger-hengsttage-2012/

The collection of stallions from the Verband der Züchter des Oldenburger Pferdes (OL) shines with around 40 stallions of exquisite quality. With a full brother of the main premium winner, San Amour (Sandro Hit/Plaisir d’Amour/Figaro), whose offspring are presently THE sensation, will be among those parading in the Vechta Licensing ring. Another highlight in the collection is a strong type young stallion by (Gribaldi/Clavecimbel/Ferro) with awesome movements who has the potential for a glorious future.

The Olympic medal winner Desparados, the champion stallion-maker Fürst Romancier, the Grand Prix Trakehner stallion Gribaldi – the sire of the legendary Totilas, as well as the bronze medal winner of the World Championships in the class for six-year olds, Sir Donnerhall II, will each be sending three sons to the licensing ring in Vechta, the largest number by a single stallion. Strongly represented on the sire’s side is the ‘S’ line of the line founding Sandro Hit which has been famous in Oldenburg for generations. There is also a noticeable influence by the Olympic star sire Donnerhall and the ‘F’ line, marked by the trademark stallion Florestan, also plays a large role.

The lot from Springpferdezuchtverband Oldenburg-International (OS) will be presenting around 30 top quality stallions. There will be a direct half-brother of Gert-Jan Bruggink’s current winner of the Grand Prix in Kiel, Cash Junior, (Chin Quin/Landadel/Servus). A (Monte Bellini/Cornet Obolensky/Laurentianer) son from the direct dam line of the sport horse-maker, Up to Date, who wins international ribbons under Michael Whitaker, should also impress you with his unlimited ability.

On the sire’s side, Lordanos has the lion’s share with three sons at this year’s licensing. Balou du Rouet, Corlensky G, Cornet‘s Stern and Quintender will each be sending two talented sons to Vechta. In keeping with the present sport horse trend in show jumping, there is also a clear dominance by the ‘C’ line on the sire’s as well as the dam’s side in the current lot of stallions.

It was posted yesterday, so actually starts today (Wednesday).

I am missing something because I can’t seem to open anything to actually view the horses.

The thread and links are 10 years old.

Haha I thought I saw 2012 but…tired, no idea why this came up on my ‘new’ feed.
