Very tragic. I caught the race and saw The Chili Man pulled up.
I detest TVG (among others) for their lack of ability/desire to follow up to just have a brief comment on what happened to both rider and horse. They usually manage to get the rider info but often it seems like the horse falls into a black hole with no further update. Maybe the info isn’t forthcoming from the track?
I’ve also seen where the full race summary says the horse was vanned off but an article on The Bloodhorse said the horse was euthanized on the track.
So sorry for the connections of Monica and the horse
