Years ago I had a tallish Morgan. I bought him as a combined driving horse, but also rode him. He was sensible and kind. He had a gorgeous trot, but a barely adequate walk and truly struggled in the canter. He was not the only Morgan I have known over the years that had problems with canter. So, if you want a dressage horse, be sure to ride your prospect before buying.
