Bummer. What happened with the other american rider? They said it was bad, lots of spooking.
Jon’s mare was spooking at the judges and shut down twice. Not a good start.
Why didn’t the live coverage start with the first ride?
. . . it did. Jan Ebeling rode his test and then Leslie Morse was disqualified just into her first movement.

Thanks for the list!
Who was she on?
The stallion, Kingston.
you can watch it on the internet as I am now.
leslie’s horse was horribly lame. shame a professional could not feel that!
Yes that happens when you have a LAME horse:no:
I think she knew. The horse has had a lot of problems.
So Kingston passed the jog, but I wonder how he was in the warm up for the GP.
Many can pass without a rider on them. I did find it interesting that she only cantered in her warm up in the ring. I do not know what she usually does but I often see the hunter people do that if the horse isn’t quite right at the trot. He was quite off I cannot imagine him not showing this in the warm up area. I am sure someone has a video of it somewhere.
It’s the stopping of work, standing around and then going to the ring and starting to work again that makes it obvious. Especially the half passes make it show. Suppose a rider didn’t half pass or extend the trot in the warmup and mostly walked and cantered.
At the shows I watch the warmup for people that seem to be walking a lot and avoiding certain movements, though some horses need to walk to relax so it isn’t always indicative of anything.
If a rider was thought to be attempting to cover up a lameness, I think that might affect their career very negatively in a lot of ways.
I wasn’t looking for lameness, but he looked sound during the warm-up on Wednesday.
