Mountain Horse Sovereign and Fiorentina boots

Has anyone had experience with these?

I need a new pair of schooling boots and would like something comfortable, soft, with as slim as fit as possible.

They are definitely a very slim fitting boot. They are not as soft as their old Supreme boots, but don’t take a terribly long time to break in. Nice boots for the money.

I’m very interested in these since the Spanish top seems to be very high and I need all the extra height I can get. They look very nice for the price.

I want the new Serengeti boots SO bad it hurts. But, they don’t come in a tall/slim option, and the rep I spoke to said they have no plans of offering one. I’m not even tall! I’m 5’5 with a 30-31" inseam and a size 7.5-8 foot. Perfectly average!!!

Are the Sovereigns even out yet? I have a pair of the brown on order and they are backordered for some ridiculous long time (I think July?). Maybe this applies to just my color/size combination.

What’s the leather like? Since they’re for schooling I don’t mind if they’re more durable, but I don’t want something that’s going to be plastic-y or stiff.

The leather isn’t stiff, IMO. They’re not buttery soft but very nice leather that has been holding up well for me and I abuse my boots. I really like them a lot for the price and I wouldn’t hesitate to order a pair if you’re in the market. The fit is very slim through the calf and ankle and the tops are high. They did take me quite awhile to completely break in.

I just bought a pair of the Fiorentinas that I will be returning. Stylistically, they are gorgeous. Super high spanish top, and I love the no laces look. Leather seems durable (not super soft, but also not like cardboard) and the boot is well constructed for something that costs around $200.

Sadly, the fit was just plain wonky on me. Footbed was extremely roomy. I wear a pretty standard 9 in most brands, and it was too big for me. The ankle was also not very slim fitting, which disappointed me but then again I have SUPER small ankles. I also fell somewhere in the middle of the measurements for the calf, so the boots were pretty easy to zip. I imagine if I were to keep them, they might be too big so that is another area I would want to go down a size on.

Overall, if you can fit into off the rack boots I think its a good, inexpensive choice.
