Has anyone seen these in person? They look as nice as any of the other “off the shelf” show boots (i.e. Ariat Monaco’s, etc)… The price is great and I am very interested but nervous they could look bad in person…
Thanks!

I would be very interested in hearing some feed back on these also! I want to purchase a pair but want some reassurance that they look as nice in person as they do online

I have a student that has them and she likes them alot. They fit her well and look like more expensive boots due to the spanish cut. She has had them a year now with no problems. The only thing that detracts from them is the obviously large swagger tab stiched onto the boot. But it is not notice-able when she is riding.
luvs2ridewbs - the ones I am talking about are actually a newer version and do not have the large swagger tab… it is now smaller…
I think I will order them, I had a pair of the dress boots that I got years ago when they first came out and they really held up well, they were sized bit large but they are a non-US sizing… but were great… I hope these are the same… I guess I can always return them!
I tried them on. They’re lovely, with a nice trim ankle. I passed due to them being too tall for me but they were great quality, very soft, but I got the impression they’d take a little more abuse than the calfskin like on the monacos.
GO FOR IT! I tried on a pair (it was a sample I think since there was only one size). They were LOVE! They will be available in slim sizes which is great. Because the leather is so soft, if they are the least bit big in the calf, they will tend to wrinkle. I have a pair of the older style field boot (Richmond), in a regular calf and they fit fine.
For the Supreme boots…I’d go slightly snug in the calf (but not too much or else it’ll put too much strain of the zippers which I think is 90% of people’s problems with zippers).
I’ve never tried this model, but I’ve been riding in the other mountain horse field boots for years and LOVE them! I think anything mountain horse does is good quality - great price, so you can’t go wrong.

For what it is worth i would not buy any other boot. I show in every division from Regular workings at WEF to Grand Prix in these boots. They happen to fit me perfectly out of the box better than any custom boots i have had. The zipper holds up and they are comfortable. Looking at photos I don’t notice them standing out as unusual. Many people have asked about them in a positive way. You can’t beat the price.
Yep, the Surpeme is even more of a H/J show boot as it is extremely close fitting, elegant and very supple. The new sole system is about half the thickness of the current system so that it is very subtle yet provides additional grip and security in the irons. Nice…
Thanks for letting me know about the swagger tabs. That was the only thing that turned me off to Mountain Horse boots.
OK I just ordered them from Victory Canter and cannot wait to get them… I will give a full report when they arrive!
I’ve seen them in person and I’m not a fan. They looked cheap to me.

Oh boy…what was cheap about them? Where did you see them? I just ordered a pair today from Equestrian Collections. Your input is appreciated.
I think they look gorgeous! I really want a pair for myself and seeing how they have really tall sizing, I want a pair really badly since mine are short (due to not having a spanish top). I think for the price point, they most certainly do not look cheap to me…but then again, a $1500 pair of field boots are completely out of the question for me.
I’m really debating getting a pair of these so I’m giving this thread a bump.
I can only afford a pair of boots in the sub-$500 range and these look perfect.
I got these boots last night and they are amazing! I put them on and the fit great… a little more snug than I would like in the calf but I could zip them and wore them around the house without too much pain, I am thinking they will stretch a little plus it was the end of the day and my calves tend to be a tad bigger then… The footbed is the most comfortable thing I have ever felt…
I am going to try them tonight at the barn! I will let you know how it goes.

If you were able to get them zipped without the assistance of another person, I doubt they are too tight. They should stretch to fit nicely.
I’m curious about the calves on these boots because of the softer leather. I know that when I wear knee high boots with my regular street clothing, the softer leather tends to always make them slide down my leg some if that makes sense. Do these stay up OK? I really like them so much better than the Richmond field boots, especially because they have the spur rests.
