Mountain Horse "Vintage-Look" boots on TOTD

First of all, will someone let me know if you’d like to buy me a pair? I will PM you my size and shipping address. :love-struck:

For real though. I freaking love these boots, they are so pretty! I don’t really know where I would wear them though. I don’t think they’d be allowed for showing (well, even if they were I think I’m too traditional for that). They’re too nice and pretty for schooling/chores/all day e’ry day. So what option does that leave? Please someone give me a valid reason for buying these lovelies.

Not that I will actually buy them. I just spent $200 on new clothes that fit my new preggo belly. Buuuut I want these boots.

Sheesh, thanks, talk. I didn’t need to see those: now I want them too. Fortunately the size chart doesn’t apply to my legs.

Why are they too nice for every day?? I mean, maybe don’t wear them into a muddy field or in the rain, but other than that? What are you waiting for ? Also lessons and clinics. There you go. Problem solved.

Luckily for my budget… they are about 2" too short for my legs. Why can’t mountain horse make a tall tall boot?

They’d fit my bad leg but not my good one. Boo! I’d freaking kill for a pair, and then my precious brown field boots could become my show pair. I LOVE old school tack and apparel. These with a nice olive tweed? YES PLEASE!!!

Crumbs. The proper shoe size is both too narrow and too tall for my legs.

Thanks for the tip! Just ordered a pair. Here’s to hoping the 10 slims are true to size!

Dammit, TotT!!! Now I need new boots. I was perfectly fine, didn’t need one single thing, then I had to go and read your post. Damndamndamndamn.

Cuuuuuuuute. But blowing my budget on travel this spring, so must be frugal.

What goes around comes around…
Those boots are a revamped version of the Newmarket boots I coveted back in the 60s.
All the reely kewl riders had them
But since my parents’ budget only covered one pair of boots I had to stay with the black leather Dehners I could show in.
Poor me :frowning:

Oh my gosh I have been wanting a pair of those. I have no need for a pair of those, but I still wants them. grabby hands

I have a pair of Ovation Mooreland boots in brown. They satisfy my itch for brown tall boots, but are also practical enough that I don’t feel bad getting them muddy/wet/gross.

I have a pair of New Market boots --I only wear them twice a year for cubbing as they are not correct on the hunt field any other time. And personally, I wear paddocks and half-chaps when I’m working horses at home --more comfortable. I don’t know of too many venues where the’d be correct attire . . .but they are lovely! Oh --I wear my New Markets with my 1960s Madras plaid jacket --cubbing at our hunt is rather a competition over the most sartorial cubbing attire.

I really wish they came in the tall :frowning: I just got a pair of the Sovereign boots for Christmas, and I had to go up a foot size and get the talls to get them tall enough :frowning: And I’m not even a tall or long-legged person!
