I have this one too. I use it on grass and I leave it in my small arena all the time. I like it and it is very stable but I can’t comment on the 3 or 4 step ones and stability. Mine is a 2 step but my horse is 15.1 tops. I don’t need anything higher.
Wood would be heavy, warp and deteriorate left in the elements over time, I would think.
