Moving to Northern Minnesota (Duluth/Superior Wisconsin)

I’m moving to Duluth Minnesota and I’d like to learn more about what horse boarding, training, groups, are in the area. I currently have two horses with I’m sure more to come. I currently am pursuing lower level eventing and in the future would like to pursue upper level dressage. I’d also love to find a group of people to trail ride with; really just want to join the horse community. For a boarding facility I’d like something not terribly far away (within 30 minutes or so). An indoor riding arena is a requirement. A place with nice pasture available would be great.

Any input/recommendations would be sincerely appreciated!

One of my boarders rides with Coutney Haesley at Foxridge Stable while she is at school (UW River Falls.) She also owns the farm. Lovely lady. If you search Facebook she and her stable are on there. Good luck!

You will find a lot of help and suggestions if you post your question to a yahoogroup called TCCTList which is focused on eventing and dressage riding in and around the Twin Cities of Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota. There are many there who are in or near Duluth who can advise you and others who lived or studied there in the recent past.

Hi OP,
Depending on where exactly you locate, there are 3 USPC pony clubs near you, at least two of those have horsemasters (adult riders). THey would be great contacts for you for information, and you might even want to join them to ride with the other adults!! Please PM me for contact information or visit the Northern Lakes Region website. Just google northern lakes region pony club. Contact for clubs and for the leadership is on the site. Welcome to the area!
