Moving to the Orlando Area - is it possible to lease farms in the area?

A move to the Orlando area is likely in my future due to a work opportunity.

I’m familiar with the Ocala area and all it has to offer, but work will be near the Orlando International Airport, and the daily drive to the Ocala area isn’t realistic long term.

Due to multiple circumstances, a year lease would be ideal while I look for a place to buy. I’d rather not board.

Any ideas of where to look for a property to lease in the Orlando area?

EASTERN PART (OVIEDO) is probably your best bet. You should keep an eye out here:

Under Orlando Real Estate for sale. Only things I see currently under Farms is in Ocala and"Bell" both of which are too far away. Nothing at all under Rental Property (but sometimes for sale ads also say for rent).

Also look for places in Bithlo - farming country (and some of it LOW), older homes but should be affordable and decent commute to airport (area).

My farm will go up for sale Spring 2015 BUT we’re 45 minutes from airport, in Brevard county. (I-95 and State Rd 520)

I was going to move to that area with horses and found a bunch of farms for lease/sale in St Cloud area which isn’t terribly far from the Airport.

Yes but St Cloud is more western - so not as great for good eventing instruction.

This is down the road from where I currently board.
The Wekiva Parkway is coming in very close to this, but apparently this barn will not be affected, unlike where I board…our BM is still working with the roadway people to find us a new facility.
I heard the previous tenants left because they were not very knowledgeable and could not make a go of it.
It is very close to the 429 and Plymouth Sorrento exit, so it is very convenient to downtown. I commute every day from Winter Park and it takes about 20 minutes to this point of my trip. The only drawback is that the roadway will literally be going over the dirt road this is on, so you will have to contend with construction starting next year.
Let me know if you lease it…I may have some boarders for you, including myself! The barn our BM is looking at is another 10 miles away. I would prefer to not go further, although the barn care is the best.
I would lease this but I don’t need a house.

Thank you very much for the link, I’ll keep it in my ‘watch’ list, now it’s looking like a spring move, so I doubt this will stay on the market that long, but you taught me a valuable lesson about craigslist, I was using it wrong to find rentals, thank you!!
