Mpm elite horse feed

Anyone heard of them? Saw them advertising on Facebook. Not much in the way of reviews.

Never heard of them, found their website, and it sucks. Not a thing about ingredients or GA.

Interesting. The product seems to be fortified whole oats. They are oat growers.

Nowhere do they give a guaranteed nutritional listing or how much you need to feed to get the optimum vm supplement. I expect you could email them for that information.

If you want to feed fortified whole oats, that’s an option. But most folks are not feeding significant amounts of whole oats anymore. Oh wait, I see my linke recommends three pounds.

Okay so it’s just oats then? That’s a bit misleading.

Not just oats they have added ( as per site)

  • Nutra-Lix Plus is a liquid vitamin and mineral supplement formulated for optimum horse health and performance*

I know of some who still feed oats and the horses do quite well and look great .

All about preference I suppose.

As I said, oats fortified with an unspecified vitamin mineral supplement

quality feeds tell you exactly what’s in them

that’s not inherently a bad thing.

Beet pulp has great value.
Wheat middlings are high protein, lower NSC than wheat (and exist in low NSC feeds).
Rice bran is a great source of fat
Soybean hulls are great for fiber
Soybean meal is great for protein and fat
