What a great yawning video! I found him in the “Find the Cheese Whiz” pic! His tail gave him away!

Yea, he hasn’t given me many good opportunities for the “Find the Whiz” game. I’m hoping my soon to be new addition will give me plenty of “Find the” shots. In this one’s case it will be “Find the Ritz!” though you may currently know her by a different name right now.

Love your snakes! currently we have a king snake we’re raising from a couple of years old to get much bigger. She was wild caught & we’re only feeding live food & not handling her so it can be turned loose later. One king snake we turned loose decided he wanted to live under the trees in the jump arena; we saw the tracks the morning after he was turned loose under the house.

And yes, Rosetta/Ritz is a DIVA. I finally got her to eat 5 days ago, but I had to 1) dip the frozen pinkie in boiling water for a few seconds, 2) scent it heavily with Ivory dish soap (and it has to be Ivory–WTH?), 3) offer it in complete darkness at night, when everyone small and stompy was in bed, and 4) brain the pinkie. (Ewwww.) Not just poke a hole in the skull, as her lavender brother Patrick required, but, uh…let’s just say extra-brain it for the squeamish among us. But she took it!

But would she eat a pinkie prepared the exact same way 5 days later? Nooooooo. Harrumph. I’m guessing she wasn’t 100% hungry–she wasn’t actively searching her deli cup crib as she had been right before I fed her last–so I’ll try again 48 hours later. She’s active today like she’s seeking food, but NOPE Missy. You will be good and hungry when offered food again.

Perhaps she was taking after her mother, who went on a food strike when she seemed about to double clutch. Only after shedding the other day did her appetite seem to return to normal, and she ate in her typical “Don’t care how, feed me now!” fashion.

Hopefully Rosetta/Ritz gets this feeding thing squared away and can be off to her new home!

Oh my gosh, that is just the cutest name - Ritz (I get it, goes with Cheese Whiz!)! She is sure a beauty - thanks for the recent pic, Lauruffian!

Yep. She ate again last night which is good. I can see it now. She will need her own private room to eat with a candle and some wine to butter her up.

Cheese Whiz is much less picky, he eats on a TV tray in the living room as the cats weekly (distant) entertainment. :lol:
