Mudruckers vs. Muck Boots

My very old Mudruckers are no longer waterproof (they are seriously old!) so I’m in the market for new warm, waterproof boots that are good for choring in our frigid, snowy, Illinois winters. Do you have a preference for Mudruckers or Muck Boots?

I’ve never used Mudruckers, but I’ve had Muck Boots for years now (both for normal work and barn chores) and love them. They have pretty good foot support for a boot, and the neoprene allows your calf to breathe and makes it easy to tuck pants into. They have a decent tread, but if it’s really icy out I add ice grippers. The Arctic Chore boot is VERY warm and has kept my perpetually cold feet comfortable in -40F.

I think that is what I have:

Being between sizes, I ordered one up and with an insole it works just fine all year around, not too hot in the summers and plenty warm in the winters.
I have worn in big snowdrifts with insulated pants over it and worked, but by themselves, you need taller boots for deep snow.

I also wear Muck Boots. My feet freeze in winter but they stay warm in my MBs. I don’t wear them in summer so I can’t comment on that.

I really like bogs boots. More supportive for my feet than Mucks

We’ve had both Mudruckers and Muck boots in our household. I don’t think one is any better than the other.

I love my muck boots. I got the taller version and I can ride in mine. Yes, they are clunker than a normal boot but I just do basic schooling so they work for me!
