Mule pictures, please!

I have relatively little interest in the MuleGate2015 thread, but it did pique my interest because there are far more mule owners on this board than I originally thought, and I’d love to see pictures of everyone’s beasties.

I just have one, Henry, who I bought eight years ago out of “ye ol’ AC4H ‘slaughter pen’” for $175 and some shipping. He arrived relatively feral although halter broken, and was meant to be a pasture pet until he made it clear that he was bored out of his mind and needed a job. So I broke him out, and he spent several years carting around an adult ammy doing western pleasure/trail stuff.

Then he came back to me when she needed something bigger, and has been mostly a pasture pet/spare trail horse in my backyard since then, still bored. I lost my big “eventer’s dream horse” TB mare last year, and haven’t been interested in looking for another, so Henry has become my project. We have a full schedule of dressage shows planned for this year.

He’s never going to be anything particularly special, competition-wise, but he’s a fun little guy who tries his hardest and genuinely enjoys any agenda I offer up to him. I can load/unload him by myself, he stands tied all day, and loves being at shows because he soaks up attention.

Oh, and he’s never spooked anyone.

Eventer in training! Although relegated to schooling events, sadly, as we aren’t allowed at recognized events!

Jenm, I remember when your muley baby was born, but now you’re riding and I’ve never seen non-baby pictures! OveroHunter, your ranch has MULTIPLE mules? Jealous!

good lord he is adorable. i’m not responsible if he goes missing…

An absolutely terrible picture of myself, but here’s our matched pair of draft mules Norma Jean and Loretta plus their paint horse groupie (who is strangely not freaking out): https://scontent-atl.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xaf1/v/t1.0-9/10275943_10101013305644392_8410289160950927768_n.jpg?oh=3f0085887ab7e5a2b16432b1fefc8009&oe=55DE6294

Everyone needs a 12 hand mule pony being ridden by a cowboy in a dress who lost a bet… The mule wasn’t half as terrifying as the cowboy. http://file1.npage.de/001804/17/bilder/rusty5.jpg

GFG, I LOVE your mule!! I can’t wait to see you two all dressed up for dressage.

I also have tail envy. My guy has been a bit challenged in the tail department!

Ah, I want a mule so badly! I worked with mules many years ago, and I loved how quick-witted they are. I’m horseless at the moment, but a mule will eventually be in my field.
