Multiple video ads trying to load simultaneously and freezing normal functions. iPad iOS 11.

Got a Maytag washer video ad, a menswear video ad and another blank video box all with the spinning loading wheel going at the same time freezing everything. That’s via two different routers and providers at two different locations on two different days plus with just my my data plan. Started Wed a little, out of control today.

The videos are in the boxes between groups of posts where I usually get stationary ads for horse related products and cat food or other stuff I do order online.IIRC, we had the multiple, simultaneous pop up video ad blast freezing up the forum in the not too distant past.

Use Chrome, get the extensions UBlock Origin and HTTS Everywhere = no more ads.

Yup, terrible today…both ad boxes at the bottom of each page black with spinning load icon eventually going to something called Ali Express loading scrolling catalogue style pages for a variety of products I have never used or ordered from Amazon. That’s operating on two different routers at different locations and with just my data plan.

Chrome is not compatable with most of my employer’s site I need quick access to.

Dammit, it’s back. Acor Hotels in one video box and a livestock auction shot in the other box. Both boxes stuck half loaded, no x or close box. Nothing else loads til they finish loading, then the quirty/keyboard sticks then runs away with every character or command hit while the video was loading. It’s like they block all content until they load…and they are oddball products and services- nothing I use or order.

Annoyingly, the ad department said they had blocked video ads from the Google ads service, but some advertisers are apparently finding workarounds for the settings imposed on them by the ad servicing agencies.

The issue has been reported to the tech folks, and hopefully they’re working on a resolution.

There is another site I visit a few times a day and I can always count on the entire page loading and then reloading every single time I visit so it isn’t just you guys
