Music you like to ride to?

New barn has bluetooth speakers in the indoor and I have it pretty much to myself during the week. Any good artists/tunes you enjoy riding to? A couple of my favorite artists are Bon Iver, Iron and Wine, The National, Sigur Ros, Agnes Obel, Mumford. More upbeat artists I like include Taylor Swift and recent Ben Rector. I feel like I listen to more podcasts than music these days and haven’t kept up with many artists/new artists over the years. The Indie stuff can be pretty mellow/down which I would have to be in the right mood to ride to, but maybe something a more happier mellow?? I like a lot of the Piano Guys covers.

I am in South Carolina. So any beach music that can be shag danced to can be ridden too as well. Here is a short sample if you aren’t familiar with either.

I used to love riding to reggae; the steady beat was perfect for trotting.

oh… there’s an event in KY that plays music during the jumper rounds. What a rhythm you’d get if you rode Black Magic Woman!

Omg, I’ve never heard if any of those …I’m old and like 70s and 80s like Boston, Eagles- anything with good harmonies and guitar. Some country is good too lol. Every once in a while I hear a new song and usually my stepsons tell me it was from 10 years ago…:woman_shrugging:t3:

Well, it’s usually Ride IQ in the headphones, but if I’m listening to music, it’s usually goth/punk/darkwave with a spattering of emo and metal. My current ride seems to prefer classic goth to hair bands, at least when I’m singing. :joy:
