ooooooh what a great thread! My girl has been so special to me and I can’t imagine having had any other horse. Everyone thinks I’m crazy for wanting another mare but to me, they are the crazy ones for not knowing how great mares can be!

Tee Hee, OMom… Nope, she’s Holsteiner and all jumper, did the A/O’s in her youth and is my teacher now up to the Level 4’s. She is 17 yo in the photo, taken this past summer. I loff her! Her name is Cinnabar.

Sweetie is a grey mare as well. I am not ashamed to admit that she has gone into the ring with lipstick on her nose…accidentally.

I love my mare too. She’s gorgeous, and can be “marey” but she has that extra inch of personality geldings don’t have!

Aggie… I had heard HORRIBLE stories about bitchie mares. Every mare I’ve worked with has been wonderful.
Yes, I am a convert… I don’t want anything BUT mares now.

She is a real ham and I loff her so much !
Although sometimes I think Im the only one.
Count me in! I love my mare more than words. I have had her for nine years and she has taken me from crossrails to 3’6" jumpers. She is definatly the best teacher I have ever had. And if I am ever sick or sad, she always takes care of me, on the ground and when I’m riding.
