My horse is a left-brained introvert

I just had to share. We have a Parelli follower at our barn. Nice lady and although she does spout off Parelli-isms, she doesn’t get upset if we ignore her. I was talking with her yesterday and she told be that my horse was definitely a left-brain introvert. So, here are some of his characteristics from the Parelli site.

dominant
brave
confident
calm
tolerant
low energy
more “whoa” (a lack of forward momentum)
slow reactions
stops often

He says “Why should I? What’s in it for me?” This horse reads people like a book. He knows what you want and he’s not going to give it to you, unless you treat him right. Even though he appears stubborn or lazy, he’s not at all lazy in the mind! He may move slowly, but he’s always thinking quickly.

And all along I thought he was an appaloosa!

Anyway- she saved me the $79 I would have had to spend to have the Parelli’s do my horse’s horsenality chart.

Just had to share…

:rolleyes::rolleyes::slight_smile:

Again, let me reiterate, only left brained horses are in their right minds.

And let us further add that it’s all nonsense - horses’ brains are not configured like human ones, so left/right is not only stupid, it’s biologically inaccurate.

Well, obviously then we need to go to something that’s scientifically proven.

MY baby horse is a “Water Dragon” and whoooo boy… is she ever. Her Wood Pig mother and I spend a lot of time shaking our collective heads. ;-p

Chinese Astrology: Dragon

Dragons are born monarchs. As far as they can see, their power is indisputable. Dragons are idealists, perfectionists, they are born thinking they are perfect and they are inflexible.

Dragons are tyrannical. They hate orders except when they are giving them. Unlike the Tiger, who imposes their will seriously and firmly, the Ox, whose authority is implied in their very stern demeanor, or the Rat, who thrusts their dominion over others, the Dragon knows innately how to exert authority yet be gentle with their slaves.

I will say, she is indeed, quite gentle with her slaves, ahem I mean, people…
