I know I’m comparatively new to the community (though I lurked for a while), but I appreciate all of you.

If anyone feels moved to donate to Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance, I would appreciate it. But also to any bladder cancer organizations - @TWH_Girl do you have recommendations for orgs that have helped you and your husband and that you think are worthy of donations? Or just cancer research in general. It’s just such a difficult and pernicious disease but also it’s not just one disease. Research and more research is always good. The more we know, the better we can treat, the better we can recognize a particular cancer and the better we can recognize when maybe we just don’t know enough for a particular cancer.

I am so sorry you lost your mom. I love that you put in the obituary to donate to the Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance instead of sending flowers. Flowers are so temporary but helping fund cancer research can help countless people in the future. I believe someday there will be a cure for cancer but it will never be found without research.
