Enterade for all!!
So glad Dean is handling it well so far. Find ways for yourself to relax! Yoga, mediation, deep breathing…even reading a good book

Great topic @RJC! What’s everyone reading? I do need a new book and I like mystery/thrillers. Suggestions for any good titles and authors welcome. Also bing worthy shows to get lost in.
If you like faerie smut, I’ve finally asked the library for “A Court of Thorns and Roses” which has been strongly pushed on me by multiple people Otherwise, I’ve been reading a book on how to heal from gastritis, which isn’t applicable to everyone! (Thankfully!)
If you want “where the crawdads sing”, or “The nine husbands of Evelyn Hugo” I’ll mail them to you for the cost of shipping.
If you’re a Dolly fan I just saw this book today at my hairdressers. Before I knew it I was through the first third. It’s loaded with photos from day 1 of her life and career and Dolly did the text

Cycle 1 of 4 is completed! Next week is a rest week and also our 20th anniversary.
His creatinine was high starting and went up from there so he has to drink and push the fluids, which involves me nagging a little bit. I need a crop for him
get a bull whip so you don’t have to get up from the other room
I hope you have a FANTASTIC anniversary
I’m currently reading the Edward Marsten “Domesday” series. Set in post-Norman conquest England, with a soldier and a lawyer (and a pair of clerics for comic relief) who travel about settling property/tax disputes and encounter murders that they solve.
Glad to see your spirits have lifted a bit! Keep after him, girl!
Spirit-wise I do feel better lately. We have a plan and have it in motion finally. Still hurdles to get through with 3 more cycles and then the bladder removal. Hubby is currently leaning towards an Indiana pouch system instead of a bag. It’s sort of interesting as they use part of your colon for any of the urinary diversions. With the Indiana pouch you cath the to drain it but it’s all internal so that is a nice feature. Saturday night we watched a webinar from Bladder Cancer Advocacy Network on pouches Fun times! We did manage to get out to lunch on Saturday and do a bit of shopping too. Dean was happy to get out of the house.
Now that’s a romantic date!! LOL Sorry, had to! Glad having a plan puts you a bit more at ease. It’s a tough pricess, but it sounds like you guys have the relationship strength to get through it. And we’re here to talk to if you need a hand.
It was. He went today and unfortunately his WBC count was too low so they couldn’t do the chemo. I’m so disappointed and every setback scares me. I just keep wishing we would’ve moved to surgery right away. Ugh.
He has to get a shot of Neulasta and they need to adjust his regimen and try again next week. This sets the schedule off a bit as we were hoping to have it wrapped up by mid- late August.
When I was sick the first time, I was over-radiated. When they treated me w chemo the second time, the doctors had to completely readjust the chemo because I couldn’t tolerate it. The standard for Hodgkin’s was 4 kinds of chemo every 2 weeks. They had to dumb it down to three kinds of chemo every three weeks. I think adjusting chemo is more common than you realize and I’m sharing this to hopefully ease your fears.
Ugh, I’m sorry. Definitely scary and disappointing; however, absolutely more common than you think. It is sooo hard to be patient because you just want to get to the finish line. Fingers crossed his counts improve for next week.
Hoping you are back on track this week!
Thank you! Me too. He goes Thursday.
WBC count rebounded and Neulasta not needed. Treatment was able to go as planned today!
Good to hear! Thinking about you guys
That’s great news! How is Dean feeling today?
