My MIPS helmet story

I LOVE my Back on Track EQ3 helmet. Had a pretty decent fall a few months ago (horse tripped, totally freak accident that wasn’t anyone’s fault) and I landed on my head and shoulder. I didn’t even have so much as a headache. Helmet had some pretty good dings in it, so I definitely hit my head.

Worth every single penny, replaced it with the exact same helmet.

This is so interesting, because I just bought a MyPS in my regular CO size also (7) and it’s really tight, especially on my forehead. CO is encouraging me to try the Round shape, but I’ve always thought my head was oval shaped as all the other COs I’ve had have fit really well. I really want a MIPS helmet but I’m kind of at a loss on what to do!

I got my Lynx and fits like a glove on my round head.

The dial button was on tight, had to click it twice to loosen it and adjust the chin strap to hang a bit more behind and shorter.

Just tried it around the house, but feel that it will be fine when riding also.

Those that wonder if they will fit, why not try, you can return it if it doesn’t.
Mine is a keeper.

I have never had any obvious clues as to whether I have a round or oval head so I think I must be somewhere in between. In helmets with numerical sizes, I have in the past usually ordered 6 7/8, but that was on the tight side in the Trauma Void Eq3. I sent it back for a 7 which seems fine after several rides.

DoubleDown, I PMd you.

A little nudge up as I have found my dream helmet. I just bought the Lynx Trauma Void. It has the dial fit. I can not believe how much lighter it feels than my old Charles Owen Ayr8 and how much smaller it looks on my head. It isn’t maybe the best looking Mips helmet out there. But it is SO comfortable on my head. I absolutely love it.
I will mention that I tried the Charles Owens with mips in the same size as my old Ayr8 and it was not at all comfortable, the liner moved around, and it looked huge.
