My New Guy

Some of you may remember that I had to euthanize my gelding, Max, after failed sinus surgery.

When I started looking at horses again I couldn’t find anything and was feeling dejected because of it. I missed my horse, I missed the barn and I missed riding.

I would send ad after ad to my coach/BO and she was not thrilled with them. She finally started replying g with a simple “Nope” when I would send her video.

She contacted me about a care lease she knew about and asked if I was interested. I jumped at the offer. His name is Rio. He is an 8 year old Halflinger/AQHA cross. Super overweight, which we will take care of with regular work. Super fancy mover. And so sweet.

He got delivered today and I started crying. My face doesn’t usually look like that, it was the tears.

She has been such a rock for me. I am not a big spending client. In fact, without her giving me a discount on board, I wouldn’t be able to afford to be there. I am so lucky.

Not sure. I have always called them snowflake dapples. There could be a fancier term for them.
