Must be that controlling nature of mine. Many years ago I had the “pleasure” of driving a horse in a jog cart. She was broke to it and all, but I have never felt so out of control. Not that she was going fast or not behaving. Just felt like driving a car on ice!

I drove Standardbred race horses in BOCES (a vocational high school). We even broke some rather wild babies to drive. I found my dressage training a help in feeling I was in control. Happy Year, a trotter, who was a full brother to Jodevin, was my favorite.
