My truck has a leaky back window

Any suggestions on fixing a leaky F150 truck? It is the passenger side back window.

The last few times I’ve driven it I thought it smelled moldy. Finally removed everything from inside the truck looking for the smell. Sure enough there was a puddle behind the passenger seat.

The padding behind the seat is soaked and probably will need replacing. Although if I can get it dry it might be okay.

I moved it into the garage so at least it won’t keep getting rained on… but I need to get it fixed. It rains every day here during the summer.

Is it the roll down window in the door or the back window across the back of the cab?
If it’s the cab can you take some exterior caulk and caulk around it? Or maybe take it to a window/glass place and have them check it? It might just need a new seal.

You don’t say where you live, but since it’s under cover now can you open the windows and let it dry, then put some damp rid in it? I would do that, and also cover the carpet and wet areas in baking soda . Let that sit for a few days and vacuum up. You can also put activated charcoal to kill
The smell

Pull the seat as far up as you can, usually if you lift some trim
You can get the carpet up so it can dry and if you look there’s often a way to open the seat back so the padding can dry.

If it is a window in a door, check that the weep holes in the bottom of the door are not obstructed. On Ford 150’s they are small rectangular holes, one at the front and another at the back of each door. Just right near the door bottom, and you’ll see them on the inside of the opened door. Probe up in each hole to check for obstruction and to see if water runs out.
