Hi everyone,

I’m currently gathering insights from horse owners, riders, and equine professionals to help develop a new initiative aimed at supporting horses in need of specialised therapy and care. If you’ve ever had a horse undergo rehabilitation, massage, or other therapeutic treatments—or if you’re just passionate about equine wellbeing—I’d really appreciate your input.

The goal is to make effective, holistic therapies more accessible to horses who need them, especially those in sanctuaries, rescues, or situations where cost can be a barrier.

Your responses will directly contribute to shaping something that could make a real difference in the lives of horses.

The questionnaire is quick, anonymous, and designed with both professionals and everyday horse owners in mind

Thank you so much in advance for your time and support!

How is it anonymous if the first question is a requirement to enter one’s email address?

Thank you for your question. I have just double checked this. That is part of Google forums platform - It is not part of the actual questionnaire.

Google Forms can be made that don’t require respondents to enter their email addresses.

Thank you for your message. Since this was pointed out by another member. We have managed to turn this setting off.

If you would be interested in supporting us, we appreciate your help.

Respectfully, I’m not sure this survey design for COTH is going to yield very rich results.

I’m sure that individuals who are income restricted or nonprofits would love subsidized support services for their horse. This isn’t the majority of COTH members so even if you got 500 “other” responses you’d likely find that any of us would be more than happy to increase access to therapeutic services if it was a reduced cost, but I don’t think that’s super helpful for what you are after.

Is the goal to be able to take these results back to the community or potential donors and say “X% of rescues surveyed say they would provide Y more services if subsidized, please consider donating?”. If so, I think you could make a compelling case without a survey.

Furthermore and totally IMHO in our current economy and where the US is likely going, if there are going to be efforts towards subsidizing anything, basic needs such as grain/hay/farrier/vet for our rescues is top priority. If/when we go into recession people will start dumping horses and companion animals. Massage is great but if a rescue can’t afford to refeed a starved senior horse it’s a moot point. I just don’t think this is the season for this focus. Maybe 3 years ago but not now.

Thank you for your message. I appreciate your suggestions and good food for thought.

I can see this is probably not the right place to post this.
